Nadia Spivak, Treasurer

Nadia joined the Junior League of the Palm Beaches in 2015 to connect with like-minded women and to volunteer in an organization that shared her core belief in the empowerment of women in every field of life. She spent two years on the Deck the Palms committee, one as Merchant Lead Active, and then as Co-Chair of the event. Following that, Nadia served as the Community Impact Lead Active, in addition to serving as a member of the League’s Diversity and Inclusion Task Force.

Nadia grew up primarily in the coastal metropolis of Karachi, Pakistan, the fifth largest city in the world. Nadia has a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Economics from Pakistan. She moved to the U.S. to attend graduate school at Syracuse University, completing a Master of Arts in International Relations and a Master of Arts in Economics. Nadia moved to the Palm Beaches from Washington D.C., where she worked as an Economist at the World Bank’s Development Prospects Group, forecasting GDP, trade, manufacturing, and debt growth rates for countries under World Bank/IMF loan programs. After a long hiatus, Nadia rejoined the World Bank in 2019 as a Consultant in the Macroeconomic Poverty Reduction group, tracking debt service sustainability for vulnerable countries. She is a true analyst with a passion for data.

In her spare time, Nadia writes an economy-for-amateurs blog at, translating macroeconomic trends for non-professionals. Nadia lives in Palm Beach Gardens with her husband and two daughters.
