Day of Impact

To celebrate decades of voluntarism, the Junior League of the Palm Beaches will host a full day of service throughout Palm Beach County on March 15, 2025. In collaboration with our community partners, more than 150 JLPB members will volunteer countless hours to make a significant impact in just one day.

Activities throughout the day included:

*Gleaning with CROS Ministries: Gleaning is the act of collecting leftover crops from farmers’ fields after they have been commercially harvested. These crops are then distributed to those facing food insecurity.

*Sorting School Supplies with Red Apple Supplies (part of the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County): Members helped pack school supplies for teachers in Palm Beach County, supporting our classrooms by filling essential supply orders.

*Sharing is Caring at the Quantum House: One of our favorite activities involved preparing a nutritious meal for the families and children staying at Quantum House. Participants discussed healthy choices and learned valuable skills in the kitchen while enjoying laughter over a comforting, home-cooked meal.

*Hands and Feet: We assisted in sorting essential items such as diapers, children’s clothing, toys, and shoes for children entering the foster care system and families taking them in, particularly those with open welfare cases.

*Packing Period Supplies with the Alliance for Period Supplies: At the Junior League of the Palm Beaches, we packed 61,000 supplies towards our goal of 1 million for distribution to those in need in Palm Beach County.

*Little Libraries: A rewarding and fun-filled shift where we sorted books to fill our Little Libraries.

*The South Florida Soup Kitchen: We assembled hygiene kits for the South Florida Soup Kitchen.

We’d like to extend a special thank you to the Palm Beach County Food Bank for their amazing partnership and support in helping ground our Alliance for Period Supplies this year!
