The Junior League of the Palm Beaches Announces 2019-2020 Board of Directors and Management Team

West Palm Beach – The Junior League of the Palm Beaches Inc. (JLPB) recently announced the incoming Board of Directors and Management Team for the 2019-2020 League year. Leading the Board is President Laura Wissa. Wissa has been a member of JLPB since 2006, serving in such roles as Vice President of Fundraising, Board Member at Large, as well as holding numerous committee leadership positions.

A North Carolina native, Wissa has been a South Florida resident since 2005. Professionally, Wissa is the CEO and founder of “Leave it to Laura” an Event Planning and Fundraising Company, which was founded because of her desire to help others and the fundraising experience she acquired as a member of the JLPB. In addition, Wissa sits on several Non-Profit Advisory Boards and has received many awards from JLPB and area non-profits due to her extensive skill set and dedication to improving her community.

Wissa is incredibly excited to serve as President of JLPB. During her presidential incoming acceptance speech, Wissa stated, “In my thirteen years of being in JLPB, this organization has changed me. It has taught me how to become a community leader and a better person. I am truly living the Junior League’s mission of developing your potential, improving the community and promoting volunteerism.”

Fellow members of the 2019-2020 Board of Directors are: President-Elect Julie Rudolph, Executive Vice President Felice Shearer, Secretary Krista Downey, Treasurer Ann Breeden, Nominating Chair Kristen Laraia, Board Member Alexandra Chase, Board Member Sarah Cohen, Board Member Sue Gibson, Board Member Emily Schachtel and Board Member Pam Schanel.

The JLPB’s incoming 2019-2020 Management Team, which oversees the League’s day to day operations includes: Executive Vice President Felice Shearer, Executive Vice President-Elect Sarah Kudisch, Membership Vice President Jeana White, Community Vice President Kat McGinley, Communications Vice President Aimee Shaughnessy, Treasurer-Elect Nadia Islam Spivak, Fundraising Vice President Natasha Rawding and Fundraising Vice President-Elect Kathryn Sexton.
