Summer Soiree Raises Over $3,200 for Local Community

The Junior League of the Palm Beaches, Inc. (JLPB), and Junior League of Martin County cohosted the Summer Soiree on Saturday, June 30th, 2018 at Meat Market in Palm Beach.

In attendance were members of both Junior Leagues – as well as enthusiastic supporters from the community; all joined to celebrate the start of summer!
Guests enjoyed a “welcome” glass of Prosecco, chance at winning a raffle, passed hors d’oeuvres, specialty drink offerings, and complimentary valet. The first 50 guests went home with a covetable swag bag.

Leaving both stomachs and hearts full, 10% of the proceeds from Friday’s night dinners were donated back to the leagues. The event raised $3,235 to help continue JLPB and JLMC’s vital work in the community.

One person particularly excited about the kickoff to the season is Courtney Stafford, President of Junior League of the Palm Beaches, who remarked “Junior League of the Palm Beaches is grateful for the partnership of our sister League in Martin County. This is the first year in which we have collaborated efforts to raise funds to further our mission and we look forward to developing the potential of our members, improving our communities, and promoting volunteerism in both Palm Beach and Martin Counties as a team this year.”
