Alexandra Chase, Secretary

The unique history of improving communities through the leadership of women is what inspired Alex to join the League.

Alex has been part of the League for 5 years, and she has served as co-chair of Nelle Smith twice.  

In addition to her service through Junior League, Alex is the Secretary of the Board of the Friends of the Mandel Public Library, and recently completed several years of service on the board of the El Cid Historic Neighborhood Association.

Alex is a federal prosecutor in West Palm Beach. Alex has served as the law clerk for the Honorable Thomas W. Phillips, U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of Tennessee, for two years. She has been a federal prosecutor for over eight years. She has successfully prosecuted a wide variety of crimes, including drug trafficking, child pornography, and identity theft. Most recently, she was part of the prosecution team that, after an eight-week trial, secured the conviction on 67 counts of Medicare fraud of Dr. Salomon E. Melgen, who the United States alleges was responsible for a loss of over $100 million to the Medicare program.

She received her B.A. in economics from Hendrix College and her J.D. from Vanderbilt University.
